Release of Ekoroad 1_5

Since January 2011, the release schedule of Ekoroad has been a busy one as we have transitioned from release 1.2 (January 24th 2011) to today release 1.5. Many changes have not been mentioned on this blog as they were happening in the lower part of the system (geographical database mainly). In release 1.5, the visual interfaces have been improved in several parts, let's see today how the trip details page has been reworked.

Passengers may reserve their trip :

This feature has been here for a few months, but we received various messages that the reservation table was difficult to find. The trip reservation table is now shown directly on the main trip page, allowing prospective passengers to see at first glance, who they maybe travelling with and if they are any seat available a certain day.

There is more to ekoroad reservation system than just letting passengers see if they are any seat available. After a driver approves a reservation, the passenger receives a travel ticket emitted by the ekoroad ticketing platform, see here for details.
